Kathleen Meeks Lenhardt
Kathleen Meeks Lenhardt, 73, of Panama City, FL, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2006, in Panama City.
Born on July 6, 1932 in Blackshear, she was a graduate of Blackshear High School and Valdosta State College in Valdosta. She had moved to Bay County, FL in 1965 to work for the United States Air Force as an executive secretary at the Tyndall Air Force Base. Her career spanned the globe from Moody Air Force Base, Valdosta, USAFE Ramstein AFB and Bitberg AFB, Germany, and back to Tyndall until her retirement. At the time of her death, she was a resident of Panama City, FL. She was a daughter of the late W. H. Jr. and Kathleen MOORE Meeks.
Survivors include her son, Michael J. Lenhardt (Eileen), Boca Raton, FL; granddaughters, Linda L. Lenhardt, Boca Raton, FL, Lucy L. Lenhardt, Orlando, FL and Samantha K. Lenhardt, Boca Raton, FL; her brother, William H. Meeks III, Fort Lauderdale, FL; nieces, Julie M. Davis (Scott), Atlanta, and Gennifer C. Jett (Richard), Jacksonville, FL; nephew, William H. Meeks IV (Brenda), Winter Park, FL; and first cousins, Lillian W. Brown, Fort Lauderdale, FL, Diane M. Davis, Blackshear, Marilyn M. Alton, Blackshear, and John Harold Cox, Marietta.
Graveside funeral services were held at 3 p.m., Saturday, April 1, from the Blackshear Cemetery (Pierce County, GA).
