The John Morgan Bible is owned by descendants of Christopher Columbus Cannon, youngest child of Lucinda Morgan who married Bird Cannon. They were married on 2 March 1826 in Habersham Co.GA. Each of their 13 children list their birthstate as Georgia. The Cannons were listed in Walker Co., GA 1840 census but by 1850 are listed in Cherokee Co., AL. The Bible was stereotyped, printed and published by H. E. Phinney in Cooperstown, NY 1829.

Nancy Morgan (b. 1813 GA) was married to Worth Marmaduke Vickrey/Vickory in Habersham Co., GA abt. 1827.
Richard Morgan (b. 1815 GA-d. 30 May 1880 GA) was married to Mehaney Wyatt in 1838. They were married by L. H. Fargason, husband of the bride's sister Mary. They had 16 children. Their son John Wesley (1849-1899) was married
to Sarah Irena Abercrombie in 1875. They are my ancestors.

Emma Morgan (b. 1822-d. ?) married Jeptha Adams in 1839 in Habersham Co. (now White Co., GA) Had family of 14 children.
Lodoisky Morgan (b. 1825 - d. Arkansas) mar. (1) Christopher Henry Boss. mar. (2) George Washington Catlett. Had children by both marriages.
John B. Morgan (b. 1826 - d. 1865 GA). The initial "B." stands for "Bush" taken from his Bible record. He mar. Martha J. Jackson in 1853 they were parents of at least six children. After his death, she married John Williams and they had several children.
Deidamy Morgan (b. 1830- d. 1903 AL) married to Abraham (or Absalom) Benjamin Jackson in May 1847. Had several children.
