Trying to trace the movements of Joseph Agnew Tull

My Great Grandfather was Joseph Agnew Tull born in Liverpool in 1872. According to the records I've found so far he signed on a ship named Asiatic (ship number 68812) in 1889. I have since found that he joined this ship in Savannah Georgia and that he was given a testimonial by the Vice Consulate so he would be taken on as crew. In that document his age is given as 18 but the rest of his details are correct (I presume he lied about his age). It seems likely that he ran away from home and stowed away but I was wondering if there were any records in Georgia that may confirm this, or show how he arrived in Savannah. He isn't listed on any immigration records on Ancestry so I'm a little stuck. Thanks
