In regard to the josiah s hill that was son of josiah warren hill, while u know ur fam names better than i, i might just throw out a possible speculation about the middle initial S, one that u may well have already thot about. IF (& i dont know if this is the case or not) josiah warren hill, born c1812, was "close" to his apparently next younger brother Samuel, born c1814, he could've named a son after his bro samuel. Just a thot that probably cant be proved! Also, as a descendant of Samuel, I wonder if the name samuel has been used by any descendants of samuel's bro josiah warren hill? I cant think of any cases where Samuel's dau, Margaret e hill Gaughf (my line), born 1847, had any descendants named josiah or warren. Of her 7 known siblings, i can trace only one, Samuel B. Hill, b.1855. He had 3 sets of kids, i think, by 3 wives in SW GA. I cant recall their names well enough to know if he named any josiah or warren. I need help in locating his other 6 kids: Julian b. 1843 (not at home in 1860), Haskell b.c1844, Sebastian b.c1845, Charles b. c1850, John b. c1852, James c1853. There may have been more kids by a 2nd wife, ?Jane Morgan?, & speculation of a 3rd wife.
