Seeking information on or descendants of Eugenia Malvina COCHRAN, who married L. H. LANG on Christmas Day 1920 in Waycross GA.
Eugenia was the daughter of Arthur Emmet COCHRAN Sr. (~1855-1930), a Waycross attorney, and Jenny Nicholson MARSHALL (1877-1913). She was born in Waycross about 1903. Her only known sibling was Arthur Emmet COCHRAN Jr., born about 1905, who died between the date of the 1910 Census and that of his mother's death, 07 Dec 1913.
Eugenia Malvina COCHRAN was named in part for her grandmother, Mrs. Amanda Malvina HOUSTON Sims Marshall (1837-1917), who was living with the family in the 1910 Census.
L. H. LANG may have been Louis Henry LANG, born 20 Feb 1897 in Georgia, d. 14 Sep 1984 Newton County GA, son of Charles H. & Josephine LANG. He was living in Waycross at the time of the WWI Civilian Draft Registration. At the time of his death, he was married to Mattie E. SLATER Lang (1904-1996), and had no surviving children.
In the 1930 Census, and in the Jacksonville FL municipal directory of that year, Eugenia Lang is shown living alone in a boarding house in Jacksonville, and working in a dress shop. Her residence is also shown as Jacksonville in Oct 1930, when she was the informant for her father's Georgia death certificate. I can not find an L. H. LANG, or a Louis LANG, anywhere in the 1930 Census.
Eugenia does not appear in Jacksonville directories after 1930, leading me to believe that she died or remarried.
