There was an article - The Mysteries of Old Gordon Springs - in North Georgia Journal Magazine about seven years ago. You might be able to track down a back issue.
Gordon Springs was established by Zachariah Gordon, father of Confederate General John B. Gordon, in the 1840s or 1850s. Zach was a Baptist preacher and had a fabulous summer resort in his secluded valley tucked between Taylors and Dick ridges. None of the buildings remain. There is a little cemetery, however. The site is owned by a timber company today and hard to visit unless you really know what you're doing and either get permission or trespass.
