Thomas James Akins, born abt. 1849 - married Julie Ann S. Tate, daughter of Isaac Tate and Cynthia Hendrix-Tate. Thomas Akins married Julie in Gordon Cnty, Ga. and in the 1900 Census they were in Cedar Grove, Walker Cnty alone with her mother Cynthia Tate and two of their children, William Akins 21 yr and Myrtie Akins 11 yr.
