1840 GEORGIA TROUP DISTRICT 655
Correction: I have started the 1840 Troup County census not the 1830. Please see

In many of the cells on the census, a dot appears. I thought it was a " but it appears as a dot when enlarged. It is a deliberate dot.
Does anyone have any idea what that dot means? Is it a ditto?
Does anyone have an index done for Troup County 1840 or know where to find one so I can check my work?
Troup County researchers please let me know if I made errors on the name spellings.
