A am the great-grandson of James Alberter Sr., through Abner E. Somehow I have come up with the name of Samuel A. Hanson as being Alberters Father. I have been in touch with a cousin who knows the family more than I. Perhaps she will reply to your query. She also had the name of Thomas Hanson, Samuel's father who married Elizabeth Evans. I really have nothing concrete about these two generations but am trying to fit the pieces together. All I have at this time is some conjective information, take it as you will but it may start you in the right direction.
From Georgia - Military Wars (1812) 4th Regiment of Booth's Georgia Militia - Fort Hawkins, Nov-1814
[Partial]
NOTE:Colonel Booth’s Regiment of Georgia
Infantry. Captain Irvin was retired and then
Captain Herman Mercer was in charge of the
Company, still under Colonel Booth.
(((Numerous names, including))))
Hanson/Henson, Samuel
(((This is conjecture, our Samuel would have been approx. 19 yrs old at the time.)))
Listed in 1840 census, Talbot County, GA as being between 40-50 years old (having been born between 1790 and 1800) had living with female between 30-40 yrs old, having 6 sons, 1 under 5 ( 1835-1840) ((Samuel E.??) and one between 5 and 10, (1830-1835) three between 10 and 15 (1825-1830) and one between 15 and 20 (1820-1825) . ((( could this last one be James A. Sr??)))
Too many questions, but it is all I have.
