Hi David, Good hearing from you. No one of my immediate family has been tested. I wish they would.I have found that my Robert was not from the old Robert or Robert Jr. I have traced him to be son of Dickson Williams,but I have run into a brick wall. I can't find Dickson parents.I did find Robert's second family ,some of his grandchildren are living in Ellaville, Ga.,Schley Co, Ga,they are two generations closer than I am,amazing isn;t it.they not know where he was from until I finally found them. I went to visit and they are such a nice family. Their GMothers Bible says he was born 1830 in Screven Co and died 1907.That would prove to be correct. Although the CSA record says he died in 1918,but did find his wife in the 1910 census in Chatham Co.Savannah, Ga. She was widow and only had two girls with her. which kept throwing me off, but I found out from them that the two boys, Leo and Herbert were in the Bethesma Boys Home in Savannah.Their older sister, Ruby got them out later .So you are probably right about stepchildren or orphans.
Yes, I live in Tavares now. We left Orlando about 5 years ago. it is a little calmer up here. More later, Margaret
