If you look at 1850 Barnwell Co, SC you will find the spelling as Boiling (2012 and 2434) James is 40, Lucy ,wife,, Wm 10, James 7, Robert 5, Mary 2, Lucy 14 and Mary Jarrel 65. There is another Boiling John 35, May wife 30, Laura 4, May 3 and 'A

Benjamin L Billings b 1851 died 1938. He married Mararet Amanda Ogilvie 1854, 1915, their children 1. Wm E Billings b 1875 married Janie oglesby,children Rosa 1895 and Lucile 1896.

The old Benjamin l billings d 1938 in Liberty Co near Hinesville, Ga. He was living with his daughter Nettie and husband Raleigh Coleman.
Also I just had a person from internet contact me regarding his GGGrandmother. in the census of Screven Co in 1870 census. there is James ,John Robert (son), Lucy,(wife). Mary, Virginia, Anna 3/12. and Wm j Billings has a Anna C b 1868 about 1 at tis time. I could never figure out the two Anna's.Now i am thinking John Robert is the father of this Anna Jane.. He is found in Bulloch Co.I have never found who the Virginia on this census, but maybe it was John Roberts, wife at the time. James O also had a son Thomas E Billings b 1855 and he married Nettie Watkins. There children are James W b 1888, George W, Mattie who married O s Saxon, Mary Billings 1882 -1957 married Warren Hugh Overstreet 1864-1934, and Julia who married a Lewis.
Also Addison T Billings drifted on down to Orange Co, Fl(Winter Garden) and back up to Volusia Co.Fl
