Ella Davidson b. 1859 Newton Co., GA married John R. Maddox c. Jan. 1888 in Newton Co., GA. He remarries to Savannah C. [Vannie] Fowler in Sept. 1896 Rockdale Co. Does anyone know when Ella died? Or where she is buried?

Col. John R. Maddox, of Conyers, was married to Miss Ella Davidson of Newton county, one day last week. Rev. Dr. Quigg officiated.

Col. John R. Maddox was recently united in marriage to Mrs. Vannie Quigg. Both of Conyers. Rev. Mr. Bowman, of Atlanta, officiated. The bride is a daughter of Mr. M. B. Fowler, of Covington, and is a popular and cultured Christian lady. The groom is a lawyer of high standing and a gentleman of honor and integrity.

They are buried in Old Conyers Cemetery. I have some pictures.

Glad I could help. I think I have a picture of Vannie's stone, too, although it is not good. My great grandfather was William Jackson Maddox, son of Henry. William's wife was Martha Hull. Do you know if there is a relationship to John? Louise

No, sorry I don't. I was working on the Davidson side of the family. They tie into my Mitchells.
