Hi Melanie - I know this post is old, but have you found any info on Akins Moore? I just started family genealogy research and am still learning how all this works!
He was my great-great-great grandfather and I am searching for information on him as well. One of my cousins has the shirt he was wearing when he was stabbed, supposedly during a poker game over a dime in Clayton.
I was just there last week and found the obit of another ancestor on my great-grandfather's mother's side, as well as the record of his his marriage to his first wife.
