James H. Eaton was born 1824 and married Mary E. Jackson in 1846. He was part of Company I of the Cherokee Legion (aka Pickens Raid Repellers) during the War of Northern Agression (aka "Civil" war) and is buried in Hinton GA (Pickens County). He was from Forsyth county, near Cumming, prior to moving to the Hinton area (Pickens County)where he is buried. I have no link to his father, although it *may* be Reuben Eaton of Forsyth County. I am also searching for any information on the ancestry of his wife, Mary Jackson. I know her family was from South Carolina, but need ancestry info on her as well. According to family stories, she was related to Stonewall Jackson. Joseph Chastain, father of Sara E Chastain, is another Pickens County dead end for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.I *think* his father may be Reubin Eaton, but have no proof. Any help would be appreciated. I've been trying to track down this link for five years now.
