I'm looking for information pertaining to a Meriwether (possibly Merriwether) who would have lived in Newton County at least 1840 - 1860 (as verified by US Federal census records). His wife was Mary Frances (Fretwell) Kennon who passed away in 1895, and is buried in Eastview Cemetery, Conyers, Rockdale County. Meriwether's grave location is unknown to family at this time. His middle initial on his wife's headstone is a Z, however the 1840 Newton County census lists M L Kennon.
