Joseph Willowby/Willoughby m Dorothy D Merett/Merritt in Monroe Co GA on 24 July 1838. They subsequently moved to Coweta Co GA by 1850 and were still there in 1860. Census is difficult for both years.Surname spelled Willoby in both 1850 and 1860. Children "appear" to be:

Demaris, Eliz V N, Eliza A, Caroline and Alice.Beginning with Demaris the younger children do not appear on 1870 Census anywhere that I can find.
William J Willoughby married Elizabeth A Noles 9 Dec 1860 (place unk). 1870 they were in Kemper Co MS and by 1880 were in Clay Co AL. The confusing census naming their children other than William - need help on. What happened to the parents?
