This message is just in general about archive records from Georgia. Sometimes it is worth the cost to get archive records. I sent a request sometime last year to Georgia Archives for a document on my Great Grandfathers brother. What I got back was about 10 different documents instead of just one. No extra cost. What I found proved that the man in question was indeed my Great Grandfathers brother who died in the civil war, because right in the middle of one document was a court document with my Great Grandmothers signature on it, proving that the widow asking for the pension was her sister in law. The cost was well worth it.
