Mary Guice came with Crossons to GA and lived with them for several years until she married. She testified that she knew they were married when Achsah applied for a pension on John's RS service. I think Mary and Achsah had several sibs but have never been able to prove them. Mary was living with one of her children in Autauga Co AL when she died but I have no death date or burial for her. The Lewis family in Fauquier Co VA are hard to sort out because there were huge numbers of Lewis families in that area. Father James Lewis apparently married twice - once a Mary and then a Rachel. I believe from the dates that Mary and Achsah were Mary's children, not Rachel's. All of Mary and Hardy's children were b in Lincoln. By 1850 they were in Coosa Co AL where the descendant list gets longer and longer !! Two Thompson girls married two Cotton brothers. One of the Cottons is my ancestor- Marion Branson Cotton. He married Louisiana Jane Thompson. Lots of Cottons from that union including my Grandmother who married James Macon Cotton in 1906 after his first wife died having numerous children. My mother was b in 1906/2001. Her brother, Jack Harold was b 1915/1947. Which of the Crosson children are you descended from?
