ISO Richard ILEY, born ca. 1771, Laurens Co, GA. He m. 1st Mrs. Richard ILEY ca. 1787 (county unknown) and m. 2nd Ferreles INMAN ca 1810 (county unknown).

He resided later in life in Burke Co, GA, near Augusta. His parents are unknown, but his father might have been Michael IHLEY (4th PAL).

he first married a creek indian, in S.C. I'm a decendent of that union. But I'm more intersested in his connections in Lorens co. S.C. my family is from there as is the Ileys but they dont enter marry untill 2 gen. later in Miss. I know or think I do why they left S,C. I'm looking for any info on the Ileys while they lived in S.C.Creek indian br. 1772, Burk Co. Ga., dies 1810 same co.Richard dies 1856 Burk Co. his son William marries Mary C. (unk last name) their son Richard br. 1818 lorens Co. S.C. has a daughter Mary Virgina who marries my great grandfather. there was a trial in greenville Co. next to loren co. in 1830 which involved the
barker's and the Potts family, it appears that as a result of this trial the Potts , Barker's and the Ileys leave S.C. I',m tring to put it all together, hope we can exchange info. John Barker

My Joneses came from NC, through SC, GA, AL ending up in MS by the late 1880's. Iley was a middle name that has been passed down through generations. Trying to connect them with other Iley families. Where in MS did your family live? Laurene
