One family tree posted at Ancestry. Com lists him as son of James L Berry (1825) and Mary J ? (1827.) I can show a census trail that would indicate that the info could be some what correct, if the Mary Jane Burry on the 1860 Twiggs census is the widow of James L. But there also exists the possiblity that she was an unmarried mother.
