Final Rites to Be Held Friday for J. T. and F. M. Means
Lamar County to Pay Tribute to Beloved Citizens Friday at Fredonia
Joint funeral services will be conducted from Fredonia Congregational Church at eleven (11:00) o'clock Friday morning when final tribute will be paid to two brothers, John Thomas Means of Redbone and Frank M. Means of Atlanta. Officiating ministers will be the Rev. W. Carl Parker, pastor, the Rev. W. P. Carter and the Rev. F. L. Adams of Atlanta. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Both natives of Monroe (now Lamar Countyy, the Mr. Means were sons of James Anderson Means and Elizabeth Allen Means who figured prominently in the early development of Fredonia community.
Mr. Frank Means died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W. E. Drewry, in Atlanta early Wednesday morning [Feb 1]. He was 88 years of age and had been in declining health for several years. He made his home for 60 years in Fredonia community and reared his family there. He was a well-known farmer, and was a member of the Fredonia Congregational Church. Since his retirement he had made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Drewry.
