My Name is Wendy Ramirez and I am one of the Co-Administrators for the Morris Family DNA project.

Many Morris Families came into Georgia Very Early including some of the Morris lines I am related to, Morris is a fairly common Surname and we are in the Process of trying to Identify the many different Morris lines related to each other through DNA. Many of these Families came into Georgia from Virginia and North Carolina. We have been testing many of these Virginia and North Carolina lines.

If you are a Male Morris and would like to participate and hopefully identify which Morris Family line you are descended from DNA testing is a wonderful Tool. Women can participate by asking a Male member of the Family to test for their line, this can be a father, brother, uncle, cousin etc..

Right now FTDNA (Family Tree DNA)is running a 1/2 price sale on a combined Y-DNA (Paternal DNA Test) and a MTDNA (Maternal DNA Test) we would love to have you participate but the sale only runs thru Wednesday 6-24-09
