During the civil war, Company F of the 38th Ga. Volunteer Infantry Regiment was formed from men from Hart County. Company F was known as the Thornton Line Volunteers. Looking for information on soldier's assigned to this unit, including family histories, stories, letters, and/or photographs of soldiers from Elbert Co.
