I am looking for information on the Askew family that moved from SC in the mid-late 1830s into Harris County. I am a decendent of John Monroe Askew. I believe him to be the son of John and Ann Mitchell Askew. John b. NC and Ann b. SC, with their children being born in SC. I believe John to have died shortly after moving to Harris Co. and I know that Ann lived until 1851. I am unable to get past John and Ann as I have no clue as to what counties they came from in their respective states and have been unable to link them anywhere so far.
