Lawrence HILL, b. 1782 NC, moved to Hancock Co., GA with his family as a child around 1800-1802. Parents Isaac Hill and Lucinda Wallace. Lawrence married Elizabeth "Betsy" GOODWIN in Monticello, GA, March 7, 1811. Betsy's family lived in Hancock Co., GA from 1805 to 1818. Lawrence had died by 1819. Does anyone know what became of Betsy? Did they have children? Did she remarry?

One correspondant believes Betsy may have been the daughter of Young GOODWIN, and that Betsy had two children with her first husband, a HILL, then moved with her parents and children to AL where she remarried James REID. This sounds like a real possibility and I would love to hear from anyone descended from Betsy who could shed some light on this.
