My Great-Grandmother is Caroline E. Turner Chambers...youngest daughter of Zachariah N. Turner. I am really challenged following this Turner line and would appreciate any and all information with documentation if possible.
My family has told me for years that Zachariah's wife and Caroline's mother was Martha (Singleton is the last name the family from Texas shared), but I can find no information on Martha. There is a marriage certificate in St. Landry Parish, LA for a Zachariah Turner to Amelia Thompson???
I also would like to know for sure where Zachariah was born (I have been told it was Tenn).
Apparently Campground Cemetery is where Elisha, Zachariah, Martha and someone else with the initials HMA Turner (d: 1867 - same year as Martha) are all buried. Only Elisha has a grave marker according to "Find A Grave" information.
Also, what documentation is available confirming that John Turner is the father of Elisha? I have Elisha's mother's name as Lucinda (Lucy) Mc Bee (Magby).
