Hardin(en) Roberts b 1842 -Hall,GA (or close by) and died 1862 -
He is the son of Berry Walker Roberts 1816-1899 and Mary Light and brother of Obediah L Roberts.

This Hardin married Nancy Caroline White (b. 1840 or 41-& d.1921) dtr of Mitchell White. They had one daughter, Elvira Roberts b 1861, shown on one census as Vira or Vina Cross - (census error).

Hardin paid for his own uniform when he joined the Confederacy - Nancy asked for and received reimbursement for this uniform.

Nancy White Roberts and Elvira Roberts are listed in Berry Walker Roberts' family Bible. After Hardin's death, Nancy C married Lewis Bird Cross, son of Silas Cross. They had 2 children. Lewis died some time after 1870... I have copy Nancy C's death certificate showing her father's name and her as widow of Lewis Cross.

I have identified 12 Harden or Hardin Roberts in this family so confusion has been inevitable.

Nancy died in 1921 in Buford, Gwinnett GA
