If Sarah Ann Hasseltine Judson Reynolds became Mrs. Edward Holmes, I suggest you find researchers doing research on James Reynolds (d.1822) male children William or James Reynolds and will state my reasoning.
James Reynolds was from Lunenburg Co., Va. and his wife was a Susannah Malone,d/o a Daniel Malone of Lunenburg Co, Va. who died in 1795 in Halifax Co., Virginia and his daughter Susannah Malone Reynolds (called Sukey) was already deceased. The sons of Daniel named Drury (md. Cecily Johnson) and John (md. Martha Ann Toombs Tranum King a widow) lived in Greene Co., Georgia on lands left to them by their father for "moving my effects to Georgia". Apparently he was intent on coming to Georgia but died before he could relocate. John's sons were numerous (Doctor R., John Jr., Thompson, Clement and Young G. Malone).
Young Gresham Malone had the name Young Judson Malone in his children and numerous times you will see the Judson line in this family-John (married Margaret "Jane" Bowles) also used the name Judson. Thompson's daughter by his wife Aramintha Henderson (d/o Joseph of Wilkes Co.) was named
Sarah Hasseltine Malone and her brother was Joseph H. Malone, but Aramintha died and Thompson md second a Laura Williams and had numerous other children. Doctor R. and John Jr. lived later in Gordon Co., Georgia. Clement died with children. Their father had a brother Daniel Jr. who is my husband's ancestor, and in our line is an Anne Hasseltine Wallace, great-granddaughter of Daniel's daughter Artemissa Malone Wallace. There are other Sarah Hasseltines and Ann Hasseltines seen in census years later of this Malone family of Daniel Sr. so suspect the Reynolds connection probably comes out of the line of James Reynolds who died in 1822 and son-in-law of Daniel Malone of Va., had male issue-John, James and William, Bety Cross (widow of Featherstone Cross, died 1800 Edgefield Co., SC); Nancy Watson, Polly Moore, Patsy Durham and Rebecca Durham.
I believe Mercer Reynolds of Reynolds Plantation is also of this same general line. I know that Drury Malone was involved in transporting tobacco from Va. to Georgia in the 1780's time frame which dates Daniel's issue into Georgia really early right after the Revolution. James I believe initially resided in Wilkes, and from a little research probably had a brother who was in Lincoln Co., Ga. named William Reynolds, whose father-in-law was Reuben Trainum, related to the Malone daughter of Daniel/sister-in-law of James Reynolds, named Elizabeth who married Clement Trainum-and namesake of John Malone's son, Clement Malone.
Hope this helps all of you in some way.
