I have the same problem. My grandfather was Lyman Edgy, brother of Elliot. My dad's name was John (Jake). Have you been able to find any more on Samuel? I live in Lakeland Florida so it makes it difficult to do any "on site" research. I read somewhere that Samuel went back to Ireland but cannot find any records. I talked (emailed) to a genologist in Ireland and she could not find and record of Samuel Edgy in Ireland. She indicated that many, many records had been destroyed in a fire. However, she did say that Edgy's had lived in Ireland. Any info would be appreciated. Larry Edgy
