I am trying to help the adult daughter of deceased Robert Lee Childers find out the circumstances surrounding the arrest of her father from their Delta Drive, East Point, Fulton Co., GA home approximately 1960. Robert may have been a security guard or police officer in East Point, and he may have injured or killed someone. He was eventually sent to Milledgeville, GA, for incarceration of the criminially insane. His young children were not allowed to know what was happeing, nor to watch television or see a paper during this time. Daughter recalls it happpened in cold weather, 1960, and her mother was also taken in for questioning, then released. Daughter also says that the entire house was ransaked and there were gunshot holes in the walls and floors. Forty years have passed and the daughter wants to know the truth.
