Seeking information on Philip Henry, born ca.1751 in PA/DE/MD. Philip's parents, William and Hannah Henry, were in PA in 1761 when they and their son Philip are mentioned in the will of Mary Tanner, Hannah's mother. They are in NC no later than 1768, when land is granted to William Henry in Tryon Co. William is dead by 1773, when his eldest son, Moses Henry, inherits the land granted in 1768. On Feb 7, 1773, 100 acres of this land is sold by Moses to his brother Philip for 5 shillings. No further record is available for Philip Henry, but someone by that name does appear on the tax list of Franklin Co., GA in 1803, and a number of the Henrys and affiliated families were in this area at the time.

There is a Philip Henry in Anson Co., NC, but eastward migration would have been a bit unusual and the data does not jibe convincingly. Of course, Philip may have died sometime after 1773, but no record of his demise has been located.

Any help in finding our lost Philip Henry would be greatly appeciated. We have good data on most of his siblings and a number of his ancestors to share, but Philip has eluded us.

Many thanks in advance.
