I am not sure if they are the same Malinda Bramletts. I have 2 in my tree Malinda Adaline Bramlett b. 1856 and a Malinda Ann Bramlett b.1838 both born in Georgia. I will send yo an invitation to the tree and you can look and see if I have anything you need. That would be the best way. Good luck. Wilma

Hi Carl - Please understand that much wrong info has been written about Jack Swilling [1830-1878] of Arizona. The book, "I Jack Swilling" is a fictional novel, not historically correct. Hank Swilling was not a son of Jack's, nor was he a 'half-breed.'
For a well written book about the life of Jack Swilling, please read "Jack Swilling Arizona's Most Lied About Pioneer" by Al Bates.
If you would like to know more about your line of the Swilling family, please contact me at lsregan@mindspring.com

I have read the charts for the Fowler Heritage book and wish to give a little tidbit of my opinon.

It says that our Aaron Fowler who married Elizabeth and came down to Forsyth County, Georgia was the son of Aaron.

I do not agree with this for the main reason of age at the birth of our Georgia Aaron Fowler.

Mildred Fowler Madison and I are looking to see if David Fowler is the farther of our Aaron Fowler. I find it interesting that when Aaron came to Forsyth County, Georgia he was followed by David, Jeremiah and Moses Fowler. Interesting that if David is the true father of our Fowler lineage, he was naming his sons Biblical names. That may be a hint for us.

Would greatly appreciate anyone's information if they have found any wills or documentations on David Fowler. The census of course is not listing his children's names when we find all of them outside of Georgia.

Happy Hunting and have a blessed season.
Janis
This thread is rather old now however, I wish to update the Aaron and Elizabeth Fowler family.

I have paid to put all the information I have and am still working on our Fowler family and appreciate reading things that were new to me about Indian heritage (my father has asked me for years where it came in and I was looking more on his mothers Johnson side to answer that)

I used the maiden name for Elizabeth as Brown because it was given to me. I have not proved it and probably no one else has. I have heard her possible maiden name as Duncan before but again, until recently, I have not worked on my family tree. I have researched for over 30 years and at this time I am putting every note I have on ancestry.com and you see my sign in so you are welcome to link to my information.

I have moved from Dahlonega Georgia and now live with my youngest son. I am retired and have plenty of time to continue to prove all that is on my charts and research futher. My son is in the Air Force and I am actually going to Germany for 3 to 4 years and hope to do some research overseas.

I wish to thank everyone that is keeping their research open for others to take and share with others. I find it so fustrating that some take pictures and information from you however, hide theirs. That has been my biggest complaint with members. :) I will be updating my Tidwell, Gravitt and other families now.

Happy Hunting and God bless each of you.
Thank you for your response, my mother always told me she was 1/4 cherokee, her mother was emma bell fowler bryson, her father was charles bailey "charlie" fowler married to gerogia ann campbell, and his father was william m fowler married lucinda elizabeth nix, charlie was sister to lydia fowler whom married andrew j fowler, his father was a william benjamin fowler married to nmartha rachel balote, whose father was aaron fowler married to elizabeth brown, who are the parents of susannah fowler tidwell ! I can only connect this line to mine through marriage of lydia and andrew j fowler....I dont know if their is cherokee on william m fowler's side, would you have that connection in your family tree? please feel free to email personally we may very well be cousins. Bobbette Lynn Devers Givens

ps: my data looks to be wrong and going to research online today will let you know if I find out anything, about the date of birth for susannah fowler. What do you mean about Aaron being a different line of Fowler's.I do show Aaron and Moses as brothers, parents are Aaron I, born 1779. is this what you show?

I know nothing about this Trooper's death. But I notice that you are going to the library Friday.
I was just wondering if you would look up the obit below, for me. I would be glad to pay for any coping cost or mailing ect.,

I'm looking for obit on Luther Corbett Bridges. Died June 7, 1978. This date
came from the social Security death index. The last paid benefit in San
Bernardino county in the city of Rancho Cucamonga. So maybe that is the town
that he died in. He should of been about the age of 40. He had at least three
children one girl and two boys David and Robert. I don't remenber the girls name
or his wife's name.

Charlotte

Robert P. Rogers died in Cumming 28 Jun 1920 and is buried in Forsyth Co. I have lost my record of the cemetery where he is buried. His death certificate is wrong as it states he was born and died on the same day and that his age was 80 yr, 1 mo, 15 dy. Knowing that he was a Civil War Veteran (Confederate Navy) the date of birth must be wrong.

Can someone please provide his date of birth, his full name (I believe his middle name is on his marker) and the name of the Forsyth Co. cemetery where he is buried.
I know this particular John L. Jones and his wife Damy (as spelled on his tombstone). His headstone bears only the name J.L. Jones, Jr.
He is my great-great grandfather. According to one of my aunts, now deceased, her grandfather's name was 'Leonard,' so I'm wondering if you might be mistaken on this middle name.
By the way, I'm descended from J.L.'s son H.N. (Hiram Nimrod) Jones, his son M.D. (Mack Duffy) Jones, and my Dad, Grover Duffie Jones. HN, MD, Grover and I are/were all ordained Baptist Ministers, so I'm also wondering if J.L. was.
