I know that William had died by the enumeration of the 1880 Census in
Forsyth Co., Ga. His family was enumerated under his widow Mary "
Polly"
Thompson. William's 2nd wife was Mary

Cherokee Co. ... today lot 467 and 468 of the 2nd dist and 2nd section of
Cherokee Co. is located between
Hopewell Rd. and Atlanta Hwy (Hwy 9) off
Hamby Rd., just south of southside road... there is a private cemetery on lot 469 of
Forsyth which is due east of lot 469 of Cherokee and
Hamby rd runs thru both lots.

I beleive that William
Hood was a brother to Jesse
Hood who married Mary A. Howard. I beleive that they were the sons of Robert
Hood and Judith
Corbin, but I have no documented proof to this relationship. I beleive that William came to
Cherokee Co., Ga. and Jesse followed and settled in
Forsyth Co., Ga.
