Greetings: I am a descendant of a James Park b. 1804. (the s'es were not on the original Parc/Park name but the plural was used more often thatn not so it changed the name Park to Parks or Parkes, etc.). My ancestor was a son of MOSES Park, b. 1738. Rev. James H. Park was the son of another James and wife Martha Yandell __. Rev. James H. Park was the first minister of the Universalist Church of Walker County, Ga. My search includes information on:
Thomas, James Hector, and MOSES Park.
There is a monument in the LaFayette, Ga. Cemetery which honors James Park, b. 1785 and his wife Marthat Yandell.
In another branch of my family I am trying to locate any information at all on Martin Luther Parks and either his daughter or grand-daughter Lillie Bessie Parks who was married to Everette LaFayette Rains in the early 1900's possibly in the Whitley Co., KY. area. I have searched just about every place in "Genealogy Internet Land" for these last two persons. Many of my Park(s) ancestry were involved in the Southern Methodist Church in Ga. and Soocho, China.
If you cannot help that is OK - just advise. Thank you so much.
