How old was Sallie on the 1870 Census?
There is quite a gap from 1834 to 1840 - could you be missing some girls or do you have the children from family?

Where was James W. Parks on the 1840 and 1850 census - I do not show him in Forsyth County?

May I suggest that you check with Emory University Library for a biography of James W. Parks. They have a wealth of Methodist material.
