Reese's in Forsyth co. My Great-great grandfather SamuelPosey Reese was born in Forsyth county in 1850. Trying to find his parents and there place of birth.

Somewhere in my files I have a little phamphlet on Samuel Posey Reese.

I believe this would be the older Samuel Reese that was here on the 1840 and 1850 censuses of Forsyth County.

Yes, the one in 405 is familiar. The George mentioned is Samuel Posey Reese oldest brother. Samuel was born in 1850 to William and Mary Ann Reese. Ihave more info if you want it.

William was the son of Samuel Reese that was born in 1796 in South Carolina. I am unsure of Williams' date and place of birth. Would you know who the older Samuels parents are?

Gorrection Ths George listed with Samuel and Elizabeth was not Samuel Posey Reese oldest brother. Joe, listed with William and Mary is Samuel oldest brother. The census was taken during the last of August. Samuel was born 2 Sept. 1850.

Mary Ann Mahala Barnwell was a younger sister to my ggg-grandfather William Warren Barnwell. Mary was first married to William Henry Reese, son of Samuel M. Reese and Elizabeth Fendley/Findley. William and Mary had three children. 1st child, Joseph Thornton Reese who married Julia A. Crane. Julia Crane was the daughter of Hiram H. Crane and his wife Elizabeth (Last name unknown). Julia was a younger sister to my ggg-grandmother, Martha E. Crane. Martha Crane was married to Thomas B. Howard, Sr. Thomas was the Son of Thomas Howard and his wife Elizabeth (last name unknown). 2nd child, Samuel Posey Reese, who married 1st Parthenia M. Tatum, daughter of Elias James Tatum and Susan Wells "Nancy" Westbrook. Samuel 2nd wife was Susan (last name unknown). 3rd son, George J. Reese, who married Martha Elizabeth Morgan. Martha Elizabeth Morgan had a second husband named Henry R. Phillips.
Julia Crane-Reese and George J. Reese are both buried at Crossroads Bapt. Ch. Cem. in the Chestatee Community of Forsyth Co., Ga. Hiram H. Crane and wife Elizabeth are buried at Concord Bapt. Ch. Cem. in Silver City Community in Forsyth Co., Ga. Mary Ann Mahala Barnwells' father and mother, William Warren Barnwell and Martha Melinda Whitfield are both buried at Crossroads Bapt. Ch. Cem. William Warrens' daughter Anna Lucinda Barnwell married Jeremiah A. "Jerry" Howard and both are buried at New Harmony Bapt. Ch. Cem. in Ducktown Community of Forsyth Co., Ga. Jerry Howard was the son of Thomas B. Howard and Martha E. Crane. Jerry's daughter was Jeanette "Nettie" Howard and she is my great-grandmother. Nettie was not married but had my grandfather Lewis Grafton Howard who was married to Ether Loma Edwards. My father is Broughton James Howard who married Betty Lou Holbrook. My name is Cary Wayne Howard and I married Martha Jeanette "Janet" Chandler from Commerce, Ga.
I found that Elizabeth Fendley was married to a Howard prior to her marriage to Samuel M. Reese and I have been trying to determine if she is the Elizabeth E. Howard who owned property in the Ducktown/Heardsville Community.
