Jane HENDRIX was born 20 June 1850 in Forsyth county to William HENDRIX. She married William Norris KELLEY, perhaps in Chatooga county, 11 July 1867. William had served in Co. A, 4th GA Cav., having enlisted in Floyd county. I am looking for information on Jane's parents and in-laws. Thanks!

There is a William Hendrix with a Forsyth Co. will dated 23 Aug 1858, who is NOT (I think) my William. His wife is listed as Rody Hendrix, with one daughter; Milly C Thornton, and 4 sons, Julius J, Mansell M, William G, and Isaac G/S Hendrix. The 1850 Forsyth Co census lists this William Hendrix as having wife Elizabeth, and five sons named Julious T., Mansell M, James T, William G., and Samuel J. The 1860 census (after this William had died) listed Elizabeth Hendrix as head of household, with no 9 or 10-year old daughter, so I assume this is not my Hendrix family. My Hendrix family may be listed in the Mt Tabor Baptist church, since Jane's funeral (many decades later in 1941) was in a Baptist church in Anniston, AL. All I know for sure about my William Hendrix family is that daughter Jane Safrona was born 20 June 1850. Is there a possible Hendrix family in Mt Tabor Baptist church? Thanks very much for looking.

I have several William Hendricks in Mt. Tabor Baptist Church membership lists in the time period you say that Jane was born. Do you know what area of the county that they lived. Will be glad to look up references in minutes of church.

my ggfather is william hendrix,his brother is dewey hendrix married.wiliam was married to hattie. Dewey was married to mary ,had 2 sons named robert and david hendrix.we lived in maiden north carolina but they are said to be origanally from akron ohio....if anyone has any infro pls contact me!!!!!!!

Thanks. Is this Mt. Tabor Bapt. Church the one in Hall County where a lot of Hendrixes were buried. I recently learned that there was a Hendrix cemetery in southern Hall Co. and when they decided in 1951 to flood it to make Lake Lanier, they moved the graves with stones to a Baptist Church.

My William Hendrix (b. 1801) m. Nancy Clements in Hall Co. in 1821. His father was either WIlliam Hendrix or Isaac Hendrix from Spartanburg Co. SC. I have a land deed for a William Hendrix in Spart. Co. in 1783. I do not know if that is MY William Hendrix's father or not. If you have a William Hendrix or Isaac Hendrix buried there from that time period, I would certainly appreciate knowing about it. Thanks a lot.
