Is this yoiur
Augustus enumerated in 1880 in
Monroe County,
Georgia ias of 1880 as a child of another
Augustus, or perhaps his father or grandfather or some uncle:
Augustus J. 50, Martha 43; Walter 19;
Hiram 17; Stella P. 16; Robert W. 13; John M. 11; Katie E. 8;
Augustus J. 5; and Raymond; all of whom spelled their family name your unique way as
Phinazee.
John
Phinazee seems to be the original American
Phinazee who may have landed at
North Carolina but made his home ultimately in
Georgia. All the Phinazees of that spelling seem to be in
Georgia in 1880 and were under 100 in number, 84 it seems of which 38 white ones can be found on the 1880 census available for free from the LDS site.
As John is believed to have as his wife a
Kittrell descendant any
Phinazee who believe they descend from John are welcome at the private
Kittrell site. Just send me your basis for being such and you will be sent the way into the private site which is otherwise unavailable to you.
