My name is Bobette Lynn Devers Givens, the Sarah Suzanne Fowler was born 11 Dec 1832 in Rayburn Co., Ga, died 11 Dec 1832 in Ga., I dont however have a place of burial for her, I do have her married to Henry Tidwell of Forsyth Co., Ga. I have also heard their was Cherokee bloodline in the Fowler's side, my mother always tols me she was 1/4th Cherokee. I just was not sure which side it came from, Her father was David harvey Bryson and mother Emma Bell Fowler_d/o Charles B and georgian Campbell Fowler.
Sorry I hope this helps some. Bobette

i am a tidwell nathaniel tidwells ggdaughter. your jan message had dec 11 1832 as date of sarah susannah fowlers birthday. nathaniels bible has that date in it but it was generally thought to be that of henry tidwell. am not sure whose it was.do you have any info on nathaniel tidwell parents. nats motherinlaw was sarah f. fowler who belonged to william fowler and lucy nix. aaron fowler was a differnt line. sarah f. fowler was a full blood cherokee. her parents are buried off old franklin gold mine road so i was told. aaron had a brother named moses fowler. have some information if you need it about the fowlers side of my family. lynn tidwell

I can only connect this line to mine through marriage of lydia and andrew j fowler....I dont know if their is cherokee on william m fowler's side, would you have that connection in your family tree? please feel free to email personally we may very well be cousins. Bobbette Lynn Devers Givens

ps: my data looks to be wrong and going to research online today will let you know if I find out anything, about the date of birth for susannah fowler. What do you mean about Aaron being a different line of Fowler's.I do show Aaron and Moses as brothers, parents are Aaron I, born 1779. is this what you show?

This thread is rather old now however, I wish to update the Aaron and Elizabeth Fowler family.

I have paid to put all the information I have and am still working on our Fowler family and appreciate reading things that were new to me about Indian heritage (my father has asked me for years where it came in and I was looking more on his mothers Johnson side to answer that)

I used the maiden name for Elizabeth as Brown because it was given to me. I have not proved it and probably no one else has. I have heard her possible maiden name as Duncan before but again, until recently, I have not worked on my family tree. I have researched for over 30 years and at this time I am putting every note I have on ancestry.com and you see my sign in so you are welcome to link to my information.

I have moved from Dahlonega Georgia and now live with my youngest son. I am retired and have plenty of time to continue to prove all that is on my charts and research futher. My son is in the Air Force and I am actually going to Germany for 3 to 4 years and hope to do some research overseas.

I wish to thank everyone that is keeping their research open for others to take and share with others. I find it so fustrating that some take pictures and information from you however, hide theirs. That has been my biggest complaint with members. :) I will be updating my Tidwell, Gravitt and other families now.

Happy Hunting and God bless each of you.

I have read the charts for the Fowler Heritage book and wish to give a little tidbit of my opinon.

It says that our Aaron Fowler who married Elizabeth and came down to Forsyth County, Georgia was the son of Aaron.

I do not agree with this for the main reason of age at the birth of our Georgia Aaron Fowler.

Mildred Fowler Madison and I are looking to see if David Fowler is the farther of our Aaron Fowler. I find it interesting that when Aaron came to Forsyth County, Georgia he was followed by David, Jeremiah and Moses Fowler. Interesting that if David is the true father of our Fowler lineage, he was naming his sons Biblical names. That may be a hint for us.

Would greatly appreciate anyone's information if they have found any wills or documentations on David Fowler. The census of course is not listing his children's names when we find all of them outside of Georgia.

Happy Hunting and have a blessed season.
Janis
