REF: Pioneer History of Forsyth County, by Don Shadburn

Mrs. J.H. Millwood, a resident of Forsyth County(GA), aged 50 years, and a mother
of 10 children, died this morning about 8 o'clock, after cutting her throat from ear to
ear.
Mrs. Millwood had been a sufferer from pellagra for several months, and fearing that
recovery was impossible, she concluded that death by her own hand was the best and
quickest way of ending her sufferings. No one in the house knew of the tragic
happening until she was found by one of her children, lying on the bed in a pool of her
own blood.
She is survived by 10 children and her husband, J. H. Millwood.
