Does anyone have any information on any Zuber families living in Rome, Ga.? I have ancestors that lived there, Jeff Zuber born 1861, Nannie Jones-Zuber,. Osborn Zuber born 1856, Caswell Zuber born 1854 all in Rome Georgia.
so far I've found most of these people but can't seem to find any other Zuber's in the area, I'm trying to find living relatives to see if they might know any information.
I know Malinda Zuber was born in 1825 or about that time, most of them would have been slaves, as they were mullato and black both.
and some ore buried in the Mt. Sinai cemetery north of Rome, GA. it's listed as Mt Sinai Zuber Cemetery. off of Hwy 53.
any help would be really appreciated. I think i might be at the end of my searching, with them being slaves it's possible that i may not find anything else.
