I have been researching my Thompsons in Emanuel county, but unfortunately they are not the line you are looking for....but I have a few suggestions that might help you find your folks. Reuben thompson was one of the founding fathers of the area, setteling in Kemp, Adrian area starting a Methodist church. This church and the records would be an excellent place to look. I believe it is Ebenezer Meth. Reben was married to Rachel Chambers and they are buried in a cemetery called the Thompson cemetery. There are lots of Thompsons there and the inscriptions on online. Check with
www.google.com A man named L.L. Ketchum has done some postings for this cemetery
xgkids@palacenet.net is the address listed for him but may be old. One son Robert was married to a Mildred Beasley. I found
records of them and their children on
www.familysearch.com Jordan and Louisanna Deen Thompson were listed there but it states they have no children. A couple of people listed as researchers for Reubin and his family are Gina Rowe 4254 Windergate Jacksonville, Fla 32257 and Tim Thompson 114 Forestdale Dr. Greensboro, Nc. 74033 These may be old address also.
On
www.genforum.com I found a listing under the name Deen for some Appling county Deens. Your Louisanna Deen and Jordon were married in Appling county and she was born there. you might check this sight in the Deen forum as well as the thompson one.
Years ago when I started my thompson research, I came across a book that had done extensive research including you line. This would probably be your best resource if you could get a copy by interlib loan. It is called Footprints of aPioneer People..The Story of Kemp by Kathryn O. Scott It is very detailed and a good reference. Hope some of this helps.. Candace Jeffers Smith
