The book FOOTPRINTS ALONG THE HOOPEE was written by James E. Dorsey and published by the Emanuel county historic society. The copy I have has a dust jacket that says it was reprinted by the Reprint Comapny, Publishers P.O. Box 5401 Spartanburg, S.C. 29304
I also have a book that was complied by the local Swainsboro newspaper in 1976 for the bicentennial called Emanuel Memories 1776-1976. It is written on newspaper prfint and consists of copies of old articles about the county history. It was published by the Swainsboro Forest Blade Publishing Swainsboro, Georgia I like it but it is hard to use for reference because it has no index and it is large in size. Hope you can find these.
