"The Emanuel County Historical Preservation Society is compiling a keepsake book to include genealogical and historical narratives of early settlers and their descendants. It is to be published in conjunction with the county’s 200th anniversary in 2012. People are asked to submit eight typed pages for publication. Box 353, Swainsboro, Ga. 30401. Membership is $10 for individuals. The society operates a county history museum and holds monthly meetings."
