looking for anyone who might be connected to the G. W. Davis (Smokey) family, born 1917 in Early County, GA

George Wilmer (Smokey Davis) was my uncle. He died February 20, 1985.

My grandfather was George W. Davis, Sr.(born 1887 in Early County). His father was Jackson Davis (born 1857 in Georgia) and married to Elizabeth Pickle. Jackson's father was listed on the 1870 census as Jere N. Davis (born about 1821 in Georgia). On the 1880 census, he is listed as John M. Davis and living with his daughter, Lucy Ann Davis Hoover in Blakely. Please contact me if you have information on Jere N. or John M. Davis.

I am hoping you can help me. If I am correct Elizabeth Pickle was the daugher of Shelton Pickle and Sarah Bullock of Early Co. GA. I believe Sarah to be the sister of my husbands gg grandfather, John Bullock. Some researchers believe Sarah to be the daughter of Joseph and Martha Bullock of Decatur Co. GA, I do not. I believe her to be the daughter of Jeptha and Ada Bullock of Early Co., Jeptha and Ada were neighbors of the Pickles in the Cuba area. I also have copied pages of the Early Co. History Book which lists the genealogy of the Pickles. Also have the census records for that time period.
