Mary Jane PEDDY married William Ford April 9 1870 in Early Co GA. They are in the 1870 Early GA census. All children are from a prior marriage. NO children are shown in the 1880 Early Co GA census. Mary Jane PEDDY Ford married Aug 14 1884 in Early Co GA E. W. Windsor. I have NOT researched her past the 1880 census. I would like to have any addditional info that you will send. My records indicate that John W. Anglin Sr. was married to Eliza (Elizabeth)? A. Petty (Peddy) in Henry County, Alabama on 11/3/1849.
This is documented from Marriage Record, page 63 of Book A from 1822-1868 in the Henry County Al documents.

Her head stone states she died in ll-18-1906. Do you have documentation that this is incorrect ? If so, please let me know where it can be located.

My source for Elizabeth A. Windsor Peddy Anglin's death date is taken from two works listed in "Collections of Early County Historical Society 2002 Volume III", page 631 which lists a survey by Margaret English et al of the Sowhatchee Cemetery showing her tombstone death date as 11-18-1905 and page 654 which lists the family history of the J.W. ANGLIN, Sr. family by Pamela Daniels and shows her death date as 11-18-1905.

If you have visited the cemetery and have firm data showing her death year to be 1906, I would appreciate your telling me what you found.

In the Early County book collection there are some dates listed re Eliza A. Windsor Peddy Anglin that are contradictory with each other. i.e. listing her birth dates both as 1821 and 1831 and indicating death dates of 1905. I now have a picture of her tombstone hoping it would clarify this. The inscription on the tombstone shows Born Aug 30, 1921 and Death date as 11-18-1906. I have viewed all the census records for Eliza, because I am reluctant to except the birth year as 1821. Looking at the 1850, 1860, 1870, 1880 and 1900 census seem closer to indicating that she was born in the 1823-1825 time period. The inscription could have been in error also. I am not close enough in proximity to view newspaper obits about the 1905-1906 time period, but maybe that would completely solve this dilemma. Suggestions? Are you connected to the Anglins through Anna Elizabeth and James Walters? Maybe we could exchange information

I have found Anna's burial but cannot find James Walters's. I know he will die before 1892 because he is not on a later census, and she will remarry. I will be more than happy to exchange information. I have documents for all of their children.
