I was told my GrGrandfather came from Liberty County but see a listing in 1850 for Harrisons...could this be the same family?
John W. Harrison was born in Liberty County, Georgia on January 9, 1852. died at the age of 63 on December 12, 1915. His parents came to this country from England. John married Anna Estelle Hamm; She was born in Liberty County, Georgia 4-26-1863 and died in November 1935 at the age of 72. Her parents came to this country from Germany. They are buried in separate plots at Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah.
They had five children:
1...Minnie Estelle Harrison...was married to William W. Ward, a housepainter by trade
2...Annie Belle Harrison was born July 7, 1884, died 1973. Annie Belle married John L. Jordan
3......Rhoda Victoria Harrison...was born in Chatham County, Georgia on October 22, 1891. Rhoda married Robert Dobson Harn, Sr. who was born on February 18, 1881 in Bryan County, Georgia to John and Maria Rodgers Harn. Rhoda died on January 22, 1919 of influenza at the age of 28.
4...Eva Hamm Harrison was born 3-2-1893, died 12-24-1982. She married Leonard Parker Lipsey
#5...My father...John Barnard Harrison, Sr. was born 20 Jan 1897, died 1 May 1968...birthplace unknown
