Researching Shumake, Shoemake, Shoemaker, Carr and Karr of Dawson Co., GA, mid to late 1800's. I am descendant of Wilburn and Darcus Cooper Shoemaker, who lived in Buford, in early 1900's. Their children: James (Jim), a batchelor, John, who moved to Danfort, MO, Dave, Eugene, Samuel (Sammy), Hannah, Roxie who married Johnny Carr, Mary Elizabeth who married Joshua Thompson Holcomb. Mary Elizabeth and Joshua had the following children: Annie Mae, born 1890, Gainesville, GA, Lelia Minervah, born 1893, Abbeville, SC, Mamie Lea, born 1895, Abbeville, SC, James Luther, born 1901, Buford, GA. Mary Elizabeth died after the last child was born. I would really like to know where she is buried. I would like to correspond with others researching these family lines. Sandy Reid sreid@alltel.net
