Searching for information concerning two SAFFOLD brothers who loaded their families and possessions in wagons and left Moultrie in the dead of night. This happened during Reconstruction following the War Between the States. It has been said the reason for their leaving was trouble with carpetbaggers. I met a descendant of one of these men in 1950 in Tampa, Florida. Interested in connecting this family to my SAFFOLD line.
