My grandmother was born in Marietta, Cobb Co. 03 Feb 1865. I am unsure of her parentage. My dad always told me his mother's maiden name was "Lawson". My aunt's obituary shows her mother's maiden name was "Larson". I'm confused as on my grandmother's marriage record in Indiana shows her maiden name as "Hopkins". My grandmother married my grandfather in IN when she had just turned 16, so I think she was never married before. I'm not sure if her maiden name was one or the other and then someone adopted her and changed her name to Hopkins. In the census for 1870 in IN she was living with Harvey and Sarah Frances Goon and her name was "Emma Hopkins", and in 1880 she was age 15 and listed as a "Housemaid" with Sarah Frances and Harvey Goon. Her name was listed as Lulu Goon. (Her name on her marriage record in 1881 was "Frances T. Hopkins.)
